Want to work with Razi?
Eitan and Razi spent years independently helping students navigate the college admissions process — Eitan working one-on-one with students on essays and applications, Razi drawing on his experience as a Harvard alumni interviewer and published essay contributor. Working from different sides of the process, they kept encountering the same problem.
Families who wanted serious, high-quality guidance often had to commit to large packages with traditional admissions firms, whether or not that level of support matched what their student actually needed. Families who wanted more flexibility could turn to open tutoring marketplaces, but were left to figure out on their own which advisors were actually qualified, and which ones were the right personal fit for their student.
At the same time, Eitan and Razi knew firsthand that excellent advisors existed at many different experience levels and price points — not just at the top of the market. The real gap wasn't quality. It was a trustworthy way for families to find it.
Almaya was built to close that gap: a network of carefully vetted advisors, transparent hourly pricing, and real choice for families — whether that means browsing and choosing an advisor directly, or asking Almaya to personally recommend the right fit, at no cost.
Great advising helps students communicate who they really are — not manufacture a version of themselves for admissions.
Different students need different personalities, levels of experience, specialties, and styles of support.
Clear advisor backgrounds, clear hourly rates, and the freedom to choose directly or get help finding the right fit.
Every advisor must meet Almaya's quality bar before joining the network.
Can they give thoughtful, sound college admissions guidance?
Can they help students think clearly and communicate authentically?
Have they demonstrated meaningful coaching or admissions experience?
Can they listen, build trust, and adapt to different students?
Advisor levels reflect differences in experience, credentials, and track record — but every level must meet Almaya's baseline quality standard.
Choose directly from our advisor network or let us personally recommend advisors who fit your student's goals, needs, and budget.
